On March 16, “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” held a one-day-only immersive experience dedicated to the series premiere. With a limited number of spots occupied within hours, it’s safe to say “PLL” fans were very excited.

With different mock sets in the Hollywood Athletic Club, the journey began in a dark yet beautiful forest-themed room with a giant screen where they would show guests the first ten minutes of the pilot. Immediately after, I knew that this show would become my new obsession.

Next, everyone was advised to walk down a mirrored hallway containing four different rooms, one for each of the main characters.

First up was Mona Vanderwaal. Her first line in the pilot is “I brought pie” and guests were given mini key lime pies to take as a gift as they entered and exited Mona’s room.

The mirrored walls were covered in the iconic, jungle red lipstick with different math formulas. Why? Mona also says in the pilot that her calculations conclude that one of the characters is potentially dangerous.

This part of the tour was a very welcoming way to give the guests a taste of the show.

Next up was Ava Jalali’s room. Ava is one of the new liars who strives to be a fashion designer. In her room, you first see a rack of beautiful clothes with a mirrored wall covered in outfit designs.

For this event, Pretty Little Liars and Blushington, a beauty salon in Los Angeles, collaborated to give everyone makeup looks inspired by their favorite liars.

Once everyone got their makeup done in Ava’s room, you had the chance to take some perfect photos to show off your new glam.

Going further down, you enter the former queen B’s room, Alison Dilaurentis. This was not in fact, a mirrored room but the walls were covered with PLL wrapping paper.

Underneath the paper were a bunch of messages written in red lipstick. Guests were able to tear it off and “reveal the truth.”

Unexpectedly, Keegan Allen, who played Toby Cavanaugh on the original show, and a former writer for the show were the only other people in Alison’s room. My favorite part of the night was getting to meet and take a picture with him.

Down the path, Dylan Walker’s room had four cellists playing the theme song to the show. Behind them was a mirrored door that led to a whole new set.

The next place you enter is Caitlin Park-Lewis’s coffee bar. A little menu with five drinks stood on the sleek white countertops as I found my way ordering one of the lattes.

Just next to the coffee bar was a Beacon Heights University background where fans could take pictures in front of what was made to look like the entrance.

At the last stop was the carpet where the cast poses in front of the press for the premiere. The backdrop was covered with the “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” logo as well as the one for Freeform. You already know tons of pictures were being taken on that beautiful black carpet.

About half an hour later, the time came where the experience had to come to an end. This tour demonstrated the new spinoff series in a way that made me even more excited for the official premiere. This event was something so exciting to attend. It was like being captured in the world of Beacon Heights and the new liars living in it.
