Yesterday, the boys varsity soccer team played a difficult match against East Side. Within the first 30 minutes, the match was stopped by an aggressive play by East Side. Senior Victor Machado was knocked unconscious which resulted in the arrival of paramedics. After he was properly cared for, the match continued.

Soon after Chris Alomia scored the first goal for West Ranch. Both teams battled back and forth on the field. But West Ranch prevailed in the second half with yet another goal by Alomia making it a 2-0 lead.

Later, East Side was awarded a penalty kick and scored to bring them one point closer to West Ranch (2-1). In the commotion, one of West Ranch’s players were given two yellow cards, which resulted in a red card and got him kicked out of the game. Unfortunately West Ranch was not able to hold their lead and the match ended with a tied score of 2-2.
