On Aug. 31, the West Ranch volleyball team defeat Harvard Westlake 3-0 in their first home game of the season. Freshman Allison Jacobs dominated the court in the first and third set and helped the Lady Cats to get their win. Harvard Westlake came close to beating the Wildcats in the third set after getting back three points. Fortunately, after the score tied 24-24, the Lady Cats got the next two points to win the game 26-24.

“We made a lot of progress. Even though we won Monday’s game too, yesterday was our first home game, and it was a nice showing. Coach Brandon played everyone because it was a preseason game, so I think that we all got together well, and everyone got what they needed out of it. We just made a lot of progress together,” said freshman Allison Jacobs.

Great job Wildcats! West Ranch varsity will play Notre Dame at Notre Dame this Tuesday at 6 p.m.
