On Oct. 13, girls’ varsity tennis team played another one of their major competitors, Hart, and beat them 18-0. With many strong plays from the entire team, everyone truly showed off their strengths primarily leading to this victory.

“To prepare for this game, they have been working really hard in practices,” said coach Dina McBride. “We have had really good structured practices. We have worked on things from previous matches that we have not done that well.”

Many of the girls were anxious to once again defend their undefeated title, especially the coach.

While always demonstrating confidence in her players, prior to the face off Coach McBride just had a feeling that it was going to be a good day. “In my first year as coach, Hart beat us 11-7,” said McBride. “It was really close. Today, I don’t feel that we are going to lose a set.”

The real competition is next week when the team plays their rivals, Valencia. Make sure to join the team next week for this match will be one to be remembered. Great job Wildcats and good luck against Valencia.
