On Dec. 8, our girls’ varsity soccer lost 5-1 to Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy. Within the first 10 minutes of the game, FSHA scored two goals, but West Ranch’s Erin Meottel received a nice pass from her teammate and kicked the ball right over the goalie’s hand. This amazing goal pumped up the team and led them to a reenergized and powerful second half (follow @wrpawprint on twitter to see her goal) .

West Ranch spent most of the time in the other team’s half of the field, but FSHA took advantage of a few missed shots and scored two more goals resulting in a final score of 5-1. Make sure to come out and support the team at their next game on Jan. 4 against Simi Valley at West Ranch. Good luck Cats.
