The varsity girls’ basketball team played their first league game, and was faced with a tough loss after falling to the Valencia Vikings 82-5. Going up against last season’s top team was a greater challenge than the team anticipated. The Wildcats had a difficult time bringing the ball up against the Viking’s intense pressure defense. The only points scored for the Ladycats came from Etana Sesay and a 3-pointer from senior Izzy Singer.

This Friday, the Wildcats are eager to beat Saugus after defeating them in preseason. Good luck Cats.
