On Dec. 3, Mr. Crawford recognized West Ranch Varsity Cross Country for their hard work at the Nike Cross Nationals meet. Not only are they the second team in Santa Clarita history to qualify for the NXN competition, but they also came in 8th in the nation out of 200 runners.

To celebrate this, the seven runners who competed in Portland were called up to the quad during brunch to shake hands with Mr. Crawford in front of their classmates. After calling up Brandon Arana, Isaiah Seidman, Dylan Gatua, Alexis Romero and Jonathan McDaniel, Mr. Crawford also recognized the students who weren’t able to participate in  the ceremony including Hunter Romine and Evan Bates.

It’s been a historical season for West Ranch, and we are excited for the years to come. What a great way to end the season Cats!
