Varsity Girls Tennis Beats Valencia after a Heartfelt Senior Night

Last Thursday, Oct. 24, the girls tennis team prepared for their last home league game against Valencia. They dominated the Vikings as they have done to all their opponents this season with a score of 16-2.

It was senior night for the team, and the whole team began gathering around early to sign posters for the five graduating seniors.

Seniors Jordyn McBride, Angelina Ciuffo, Kayla Halberstam, Chase Eisenberg and Jacklyn Van Der Coff all reminisced their favorite memories from playing tennis at West Ranch over the past four years. They gathered around in a circle on the grass, sharing stories and laughing together as one big family.

“Playing for the team for four years has been the best experience, and I have met so many friends from playing and have grown so much,” said Kayla Halberstam. “The most memorable moment for me was probably beating Valencia on my senior night because my partner and I beat a doubles team we had never beat before so that was super exciting for our team.”

But they had to put their tears aside to prepare to dominate against Valencia.

Congrats Cats, and remember: Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!
